International Trade Fair for Furniture Production Technologies, Woodworking Machinery, Tools, Fittings, Accessories, Raw Materials and Products

Weber goes Boundlessly digital!

In the wake of the Corona pandemic, the world has become more digital. Hans Weber Maschinenfabrik GmbH in Kronach is also applying its expertise in IT and artificial intelligence not only to its products and processes, but also to presentations, customer contacts and service. The most recent example: the virtual showroom of the sector grinding machines. The time of crowded exhibition halls is over, at least for the time being - today, international customers are guests in the cloud.

The virtual grinding machine fair can be accessed simply and easily via the WEBER homepage. After registration, you can get started using your personal password. The Kronach-based machine manufacturer presents both its tried-and-tested and new technologies in the field of metal and wood grinding machines online. As a visitor, you can move freely in the virtual technical center, view the exhibited machines from all sides and get additional information about the machine of your choice via multimedia buttons. But the service area is not neglected either, as it is an essential part of WEBER's offer. Navigation is intuitive. The mouse is used to move through the room - similar to Google Street View. You can rotate, zoom in on things, and "walk" around machines. An integrated live chat allows direct exchange with the experts at any time.

Grinding technology for the highest requirements

In order to get the maximum out of wood, metal and other materials, high-quality surface finishing is essential. This is exactly what WEBER has been dedicated to since the company was founded and can thus draw on over 100 years of experience in sanding technology.

Stability. Flexibility. Functionality. Whatever designers and engineers demand for the realization of their projects - the material wood fulfills their special expectations. No doubt about it: wood is fascinating! Over the years, WEBER has responded to the increasing demands with various innovations and has tried to provide a sensible and functional answer with the appropriate grinding technology.

Solutions for industrial robotics and automation

With its traditional product areas in mind, the Kronach-based machine manufacturer also looks clearly to the future and repeatedly integrates corresponding trends into its portfolio. For example, the sector grinding machine was expanded a few years ago to include robotics and automation. Here, WEBER offers innovative lay-up systems, partial turning concepts, sorting systems and beyond grinding technology sophisticated gripping and stacking robotics from a single source, entirely in accordance with the customer's requirements. Depending on the material flow or space capacity, WEBER designs solutions for the conveyor belt - or even for a complete system - individually optimized for the product.

In terms of flexibility, Weber offers exchangeable robot tools to respond to the variety in workpiece geometry. The working width of the conveyor can be flexibly selected - modularly adapted to the customer's requirements.

Grinding technology for the highest requirements

The virtual trade fair combines all these topics in an online showroom and gives interested parties the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information about the products. However, the focus is clearly on usability. "It was important to us to make this offer as simple and at the same time as informative as possible. And the positive response from our visitors proves us right," says Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Georg Weber.

"Of course, a virtual trade fair cannot replace personal contact with the customer. In addition: our virtual showroom is open 24/7 all year, for our customers around the globe. In this way - quite incidentally - we also make an important contribution to climate and environmental protection. After all, our online offering eliminates the need for one or two trips. This encourages us to continue offering this online in-house exhibition as a supplementary information platform for customers and other interested target groups in the long term."
