"International Trade Fair for Furniture Production Technologies, Woodworking Machinery, Tools, Fittings, Accessories, Raw Materials and Products"
Hettich has always been a strong proponent of nation building by pursuing the philosophy of ‘Make in India. Make for the World.’ Its manufacturing plant at Vadodara and Indore are a testament of the same. As another step in that direction, Hettich India signed a MoU for an investment of 750 crore in the first phase of development for India’s first Internationla Furniture Park project in Tamil Nadu.
The announcement for the same was made at a glittering ceremony attended by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M K Stalin and Mr. A K Goel, MD, Hettich India on 7th March, 2022 at Thoothukudi.
The 1,156 acres park will be set up in Meelavattan and South Veerapandiyapuram in the Thoothukudi district, 13 km from the VOC Port. The park seeks to create a better ecosystem to meet 70-80 per cent of the raw material demand, drastically reduce production costs and increase the competitiveness of Tamil Nadu in the furniture sector.
