INDIAWOOD 2022 (24 – 28 Feb)
- Stimulating economic activities in the furniture
manufacturing and woodworking industries in India
The exhibition trio of IndiaWood, DelhiWood and MumbaiWood has cemented its position as India’s
largest sourcing platform for furniture manufacturers, wood-based handicraft manufacturers, saw
millers, carpenters, craftsmen, architects and interior designers in the region, over the last few years.
The rising local demand, scope for furniture manufacturers to expand their facilities and attract new
investments, and the current favorable position of India within the global supply chain, are some of the
factors which have contributed to this growth.
The Industry itself is undergoing a massive transformational shift when it comes to supply chain
management, adherence to latest technological advancements in line with Industry 4.0 and the rise of
new regions within the context of demand and supply.
As per Industry reports, the domestic furniture market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 12.91% during
the period of 2020-2024, while the global furniture market is estimated at USD 1.1 Trillion. The Indian
market size has a huge growth potential as apart from the domestic furniture market, the potential for
furniture exports also shows great promise, with several countries looking to diversify their
manufacturing bases in the post Covid-19 era.
